Who is Chico Amigos?
Hola, yo me llamo Sasha. I am Chico Amigos!
I have been a public school teacher for almost nine years. I have taught third, second and first grade. Seven out of those nine years have been in dual immersion, which means the majority of the subjects were in Spanish.
I also spent about seven years as a Camp Counselor and Camp Director at the YMCA in Sonoma County and the Boys and Girls Club in Marin County!
I am also a wife and mother of three kids, two girls and a boy.
I homeschool my oldest girl and noticed there was a lack of Spanish and classes on the divide, so with the encouragement of a fellow homeschooling mom (aka Art Nest on the Divide), Chico Amigos was born!!
I love being able to provide a learning and fun environment for kids of all ages and can’t wait to meet YOU!!

Hello! My name is Ilona Sula. I am the creator of Art Nest on the Divide.
I am a children’s book illustrator and an artist. I was born and raised in Estonia, but now I live in sunny California on the Divide with my husband and two wonderful daughters. My biggest passion is, of course, painting, drawing, and crafting, but I also love to travel, explore nature, and plant things in my garden and watch them grow.
I have done illustrations for publishing companies, musicians, museums, businesses, non-profit organizations, and private commissions. Now I would love to share my passion for art with children!
